## How to Use This Document

To determine the right plan for a customer or prospect, follow these steps:

1. **Estimate monthly credit usage:** Credits measure all agent and knowledge operations on the platform. If usage falls between tiers, use the next tier up.
2. **Select the plan:** Match required features (log retention, support level, audit logs) against the Feature Comparison table below.
3. **Choose billing cycle:** Annual billing saves 20% on Pro and Scale plans.
4. **Calculate total cost:** Look up the price in the Plans table. No add-ons or per-seat charges — pricing is per-workspace.
5. **Enterprise or custom needs:** If the customer needs custom integrations, volume pricing, or a guaranteed SLA, direct them to the OpsCompanion sales team.

## Key Definitions

- **Credits:** The unit of measurement for all agent and knowledge usage on the platform. Each API call, agent action, or knowledge query consumes credits. Every plan includes a monthly credit allowance.
- **Agent usage:** Interactions where AI agents query, act on, or respond using live operational context from connected integrations.
- **Knowledge usage:** Queries against ingested documents, runbooks, and organizational knowledge stored in OpsCompanion.
- **Log retention:** How long observability and audit data is stored and queryable. OpsCompanion uses OpenTelemetry (OTel) for log ingestion, so logs can be sent from any system or tool that supports OTel.
- **Seats:** Individual user accounts within a workspace. All plans include unlimited seats at no extra cost.
- **Integrations:** Connections to external tools (CI/CD, cloud providers, observability platforms, etc.). All plans include unlimited integrations.
